"Sowing the seeds of Recovery." The fresh project is a peer support program for people affected by a mental health issue that is located on a 30 acre property on the outskirts of Melbourne. The fresh project has been built to provide people with an additional, outdoor, natural environment where we can come together and share our journey to recovery. The lived experience of the group members directs our programs, which are always recovery focused. At the fresh project we share our life experiences, our challenges, our support our and solutions for recovery. The fresh project is a motivating, welcoming and inspiring environment where we celebrate each person's individual journey. In a normal day we will tend to our veggie patches, orchard and bees, then have a bbq lunch which includes fresh fruit and veg from our gardens. Then spend some time working on future projects and your ideas. The fresh project is confidential, non judgemental and best of all free of charge. It is open to anyone who has been affected by a mental health issue; carers, patients, siblings and friends. We all have a unique perspective and can help each other along the path to recovery. You do not need a referral or diagnosis to attend, simply contact us and come along. The programs are on Saturdays, check our facebook page for details. www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=27067402696 Or email cameron@peoplelikeyou.org.au The fresh project made by people like you for people like you. |
